North Collin County Habitat for Humanity (NCC Habitat) is part of a global, nonprofit housing organization operated on Christian principles. We put God’s love into action by building homes and communities. We are dedicated to eliminating substandard housing locally and worldwide. We encourage positive relationships throughout the community by advocating for fair housing policies and by providing training to help families improve their shelter conditions.
Since 1992 NCC Habitat has enabled lower income families throughout northern Collin County (Anna, Blueridge, Celina, Farmersville, Frisco, McKinney, Melissa, Princeton, Prosper, Westminster, and Weston) to build strength, stability and self-reliance through shelter. Habitat homeowners help build their homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage. With the help of partnerships, NCC Habitat has built over 100 houses in north Collin County.
We are also involved in a program called “A Brush With Kindness (ABWK)†where we help lower income families with exterior repairs including roof, siding, paint and general clean up. We’ve served 89 families and senior adults through this program. Internationally, NCC Habitat has built 34 homes in Mexico, Egypt, Costa Rica, Haiti, Asia Tsunami & Honduras.Â
Habitat also operates a ReStore that is open to the public Tuesday – Saturday. We sell new and gently used building materials and furniture to the public. More information is available at www.ncc-habitat.com and www.mckinneyerstore.com .â€
The Rotary Club meets every Friday at Noon at Texas Star Bank in Celina, Texas.
