Flyhippie Photography is a Portrait Photography boutique that specializes in custom portrait art. We have a focus on prints, wall art, and offer custom framing. From newborn photography and children to high school seniors and families, we discuss your wants and needs to make your photos a timeless treasure.
Photographer, Robin Thompson, has been, and remains, engaged in the study of photography through many classes and workshops. She is in the midst of achieving her CPP (Certified Professional Photographer) and is a member of the PPA (Professional Photographers Association) and the DPPA (Dallas Professional Photographers Association) where she’s been involved in the ongoing education and print competitions that they provide.
Robin also teaches home school high school photography classes and many workshops for adults and children. These have ranged from teaching alternative processes in photography to simply how to use your camera and shoot on manual.
Robin lives in Celina, but the Flyhippie Photography studio is on main street in Gunter and provides a perfect space to house a photographic studio, framing department, viewing area, dark room, hair and makeup room and more!
Our studio is set apart not only by study, education and knowledge, but in our top notch service. When you contact Flyhippie, we will meet to discuss EXACTLY what your wants, hopes and needs encompass. We then schedule and provide a photo shoot aimed to meet those goals. This can include in studio, on location, hair and makeup artists or any combination of approaches. Afterwards, you will come into the studio for a viewing and ordering session where we decide what print style, size and options are the best fit for you.
We do have themed sessions a few times throughout the year. These are a theme that we have set up where you can schedule your shoot at those times within that theme. (Examples are Santa shoots, beach themes, lemonade stands, etc.) Those are listed on our website as they are available.
Our philosophy for care and education of preschool children is as follows:
We are committed to nurture and support the growth of preschoolers physically, intellectually, emotionally and socially.
Our preschool environment provides a controlled access security system, as well as safety within and out of the classroom. Well designed classrooms and an outdoor playground provide activity space appropriate for gross motor skill development and active learning.
Because 90% of a child’s learning is established during the first five (5) years of life, our curriculum provides hands on learning experiences and activities for preschoolers beginning at 3 months through pre-kindergarten. Our goal is that children learn foundational skills to support a lifetime of learning.
Our classrooms provide emotional stability by providing consistent, loving teachers, consistent routines within the context of the classroom, and the encouragement of strong parental involvement resulting in the partnership of home and school.
We believe preschoolers learn through play. Learning activities are provided to develop and nurture the interaction of each preschooler with his/ her teacher and classmates.
Ultimately, we seek to serve the community by providing educational programs in a safe and nurturing environment. We welcome children at different levels on the developmental spectrum and our goal is to create a truly inclusive environment for all of the children in our care.
PARENTS AS PARTNERS
At Mudpies & Lullabies Preschool, we believe that parent communication and involvement are the cornerstones of a successful early education experience. We invite parents to share information about family traditions and values, and we do our best to plan learning experiences that integrate those ideals. Respecting your role as your child’s first teacher, we also rely on your input to better understand your child’s developmental needs. Our teachers and directors are always available to answer your questions, to review your child’s progress or to discuss any concerns that you may have.

Welcoming New Homeowners for over 85 years
Welcome Wagon’s personalized greetings and community information have touched the lives of over 75 million households, including American Presidents such as Kennedy, Nixon and George W. Bush as they moved into the White House. The home visits stopped in 1998 as an increase in two-income families meant fewer people were home to accept visits. Welcome Wagon began greeting new homebuyers through different means, connecting them with many local businesses and services that we personally recommend and refer to benefit them as they settle into their new homes. These businesses are category exclusive and of the highest caliber.Â
