The Celina Chamber is proud to celebrate your business with a ribbon cutting ceremony. This service is at no cost to Chamber Members at the Red Level and above who are celebrating a grand opening or milestone event. It is unique way for the Chamber to help market you and your business.

For Ribbon Cuttings

The Celina Chamber of Commerce is proud to help celebrate new businesses, relocations, expansions, and anniversaries with a ribbon cutting ceremony.

For ribbon cuttings, the Chamber provides:

  • A Chamber staff member or Ambassador to facilitate the ceremony
  • Large ceremonial scissors and ribbon
  • Your event listed on the Chamber website calendar and in our weekly e-newsletter
  • A photo from the ceremony posted on Chamber social media
  • Additional marketing or promotional opportunities may be available. Please contact Chamber staff for details.

Ribbon Cuttings

  • Ribbon cuttings should be planned a minimum of 3-4 weeks in advance. Requested dates are on a first come-first serve basis. Dates will not be held or added to the Chamber calendar until the Ribbon Cutting Request Form is completed in full.
  • Ribbon cuttings are typically held Tuesday-Thursday. Ribbon cuttings are not offered on Saturday or Sunday.
  • The Chamber cannot guarantee attendance at your event. From our experience, events held during standard business hours tend to have the best turn out.
  • We are not able to facilitate ribbon cuttings on the same day/time as a scheduled chamber event. Please review the chamber's events calendar when selecting your date.
  • It is suggested that you consider hosting an open house in conjunction with your ribbon cutting ceremony.  Invite your clients, neighbors, family, friends and colleagues, promote your event on social media, and to other groups you may be a part of.
  • Facility tours and a reception with refreshments are recommended for after the ceremony.
  • If you plan to offer discounts, prizes or give-aways, make sure to include this information on the Ribbon Cutting Request Form to help us better promote your event.

Groundbreakings

The Celina Chamber is happy to host and help facilitate groundbreaking ceremonies for new developments and major projects in our community.

For groundbreaking ceremonies:

  • The Chamber will assist with coordination and help facilitate the ceremony.

  • Chamber staff or Ambassadors attend to assist with remarks and introductions.

Please note that all event setup and logistics are the responsibility of the hosting business or organization, including items such as:

  • Tent rentals

  • Chairs and tables

  • Shovels or ceremonial equipment

  • Sound systems

  • Signage or staging

  • Any additional event rentals or catering

The Chamber is happy to help promote the event and support the ceremony, but the project developer or host organization is responsible for coordinating and covering the costs of event setup.
